Manassas National Battlefield Park, in Manassas, Virginia, preserves the site of two battles of the US Civil War, in July 1861, and August 1862. The Stone House was used as a field hospital and a headquarters area during the battles. This image is also available as a sharp unmanipulated photo elsewhere in my collection.

The icons along our National Mall served as the backdrop for my first career in Washington, DC. Now they are some of the photographic subjects for my second career.
