The Battle of Gettysburg, July 1-3, 1863, was a pivotal battle of the US Civil War. These are a monument and rifled 10-pounder cannon of Battery D of the Fifth US Artillery of the Army of the Potomac.

The icons along our National Mall served as the backdrop for my first career in Washington, DC. Now they are some of the photographic subjects for my second career.
